I have just installed mint alongside xp, all appeared to install without any problems, though cannot work out how to connect my usb-adsl moden for an internet connection.
Looking though Synaptic i have found pppoe program to install, but it needs to download some of the files.....how do i get around this? Or am i doing it all wrong?

I would recommend router, much easier to set up, no drivers required-Netgear?
If everybody adopted that attitude the companies would soon get the message

Linksys WRT-54GL <== it uses Linux. And there are plenty of "alternative Firmwares" around that will turn this cheapo router into a $500 router feature-wise. Highly recommended.nick wrote: I would recommend router, much easier to set up, no drivers required
