Are the repositories partially down?

Running Linux Mint 8 KDE RC1

Everything's been running fine since I installed Mint 8 KDE RC1 but I noticed this morning that the Update Manager was unable to check for updates. I brought up Synaptic (had to quit the Update Manager to do so since it was still attempting to check for updates) and attempted a refresh and it stalled about halfway through downloading files. Since this really didn't tell me anything I brought up terminal and ran "sudo apt-get update" and it stalled approx. halfway through downloading files with this:

Unable to connect to packages.linuxmint.com

I made sure that I had no broken packages and all was fine.

I guess that means the repositories are at least partially down?

If this isn't the proper place to post this please let me know.

Getting same here. Could be down or could be amount of traffic as Fluxbox RC edition was released today.

Thanks for the reply. Glad I'm not the only one then. I figured it was a server problem rather than local but it's always good to confirm. Can't really complain about Mint 8 and the associated CE's being popular now can I?

Haven't been able to get any contact in 2 days. 26. and today 27. jan
And it is all of them...(from packages.linuxmint.....)

The repositories appear to be back up now. In fact the Update Manager just fed me a rather large dose of updates for Mint 8 KDE CE RC1 from all the various sources. If no one else is having problems (I'll wait an hour or so) I'll mark this solved.
