Can't print PDFs in colour

I've got an OKI C3100 colour laser printer and have configured Mint's printer settings to show 2 instances of the printer, one as regular colour and one as mono (black and white) - mono as default printer. (This works fine with Windows XP)

When I try to print any PDF file using the default Mint viewer it will only print in black and white when I manually select the colour printer. (Using Mint 8 )

All other applications such as printing an OpenOffice document, a page from Firefox or even an email from Thunderbird with colour content print OK in colour.

I've tried changing the default printer to the colour configuration but that still does not work.

Help please!

Well several days have passed and no replies to my original post so I installed Adobe Reader and that prints PDFs in colour without any problem.

I could say the problem was solved but it would have been nice to print PDF documents in colour without having to resort to commercial applications.

I would still be interested if anybody could suggest resolution using Mint 8 on its own.

It's hard to say why this happened and if you are OK as it is I'll let it be - I suspect it'll take a while to find the answer, if I find it....
