I've been using mint for a few months now and LOVE IT! Thanks to all you developers for your time. I even forced my poor wife off Vista so I could try the kde version on her desktop. Anyways, this is more a linux question but is there a way to preview photos when uploading them to email and such? If it were just me I'd just find the one I want but this is for my wife who has 1000s of photos named hp-1209.jpg or such. I know there must be a way but I just can't find it. googling hasn't helped since photo and upload are both so common. An answer for both kde and gnome would be great. Thanks!

I think f spot gives you that. Not sure if it's in synaptics - have some computer problems at the moment
//Edit/ It is in synaptic - got internet in my main computer again.

Thanks for your reply. I took a look at f spot and it's not exactly what I want. I actually use picasa as my photo manager. It more that file upload dialog that I want to change. I use firefox and the default look and feel it think is what GTK or something? Well when ur browsing files to upload to email (or facebook for my wife) all u see is file names, no thumbnails. That's what I want. There's probably not a way but I was hoping. I did find a solution for uploading fotos to facebook for my wife. firefox has a nice extention called Fireuploader. It will upload photos to picasa, facebook and other such sites. for now that will solve half her problems. She still want's something for email though.
Thanks!

OK I thought fspot had that - my mistake
I am a rather "conservative" internet user - don't use and don't trust sites where you can store things and so on
Maybe because I had a small business on XP and always feared sabotage to my data :)
