mintinstall [Solved]

Postby Topknot on Wed Aug 15, 2007 5:13 pm

Hello, I have recently moved to Mint and I am using Cassandra KDE. I have read about the mint installer and have tried to find it. Using adept manager I see that mintinstall-kde is installed, but I can not find it in my menu, when I rund mintinstall (or mintinstall-kde) from the the command line I get the command not found (I have tried with sudo and same response). When I type mintinstall with in the "run program" window it asks for my password to run as root, and then nothing happens, it tries to boot and then just quits.

Any help would be great, thanks!
TK

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Goto the Linux Mint Software Portal and find what you want to install.
Then click the Download button.
It will ask you to open with mintInstall, click ok and click Install.
Some have you agree to something, so watch the progress to make sure you don't have to do anything extra.(example: Goolge Earth)
