NFS doesn't have passwords, it relies on the UNIX permissions your client receives from the remote server. You just mount the remote location and that's it, the rest is depending on the server side and the permissions you receive, e.g. as per exports file. Are you sure you aren't in fact talking about SMB shares (e.g. the ones which Windows uses)? NFS and SMB are two entirely different protocols.
