Wireless Broadband automatically recognized, but immediately disconnects. Been through the Control Panel options including User Login, Network Connection, etc, but can't enable the connection for internet use.

Re: How to find and turn off hidden Network Manager?
Not running KDE here at present so can't check, but have you tried changing the network settings via the KDE control panel?
[Edit] your original post and add [SOLVED] once your question is resolved.

Re: How to find and turn off hidden Network Manager?
Edited original post and changed title, in hope someone would like to make a suggestion.
Disabling a few network packages in Synaptic Package Manager did not help. Kept anything that said KDE4.
Some progress though, because connection is now automatically recognized, but immediately disconnected.

Re: Wireless Broadband established but immediately disconnec
After two weeks of ignoring Mint 8 KDE, I tried it today and now the internet connection works. Don't have a clue why.
One noticable change, now there is no icon in the bar at the bottom of the desktop that displays a network connection. The connection can be noticed when the Lock icon (update manager) joins halves into one complete lock. Once this has been achieved, then the browser and email progs can be used.
