I was experiencing for sometime when I logged on the computer would be really sluggish, everything would still work perfectly but would be a bit jerky, this only happened every now and was easily fixed by logging out and back in again, so I was never really worried about it.
When I had a bit more time on my hands and it happened again I decided to have a little look into what was causing it, after some Google searching with not much luck I remembered the command top that would show what was using what CPU and as per the screenshot below Gnome-Do seems to be using a huge amount of CPU power and that's with it only running in the background:
I can easily kill the application which fixes the jerkiness but I'd like to know why this is happening and if it is definitely Gnome-Do?
Any ideas?

Just make it so gnome-do isn't set to boot on start, I know it sucks but, it seems to work fine when you boot it yourself.

It's called Conky, it's a lightweight system monitor, there's loads of different styles you can use, mines just random bits taken from various Conky setups with my own bit of styling. If you want, when I get home from work later I'll post my Conky file which you can use and tweak to your liking.

There's a bug in gnome do that causes it to sit eating all your CPU without doing anything. I think its been fixed in the latest release, just install the PPA by going to your software sources and clicking on Other Software then Add then put in and press add source. click close then reload. Reload mint update and install the updates.

Saying that, I refreshed Mint Update and it found a Gnome-Do update so perhaps it worked?
