taskbar separated from toolbar?

hi, new to mint, old to ubuntu...

i was wondering if i can have separated toolbar and taskbar like in ubuntu. its quite handy because i can have clean desktop. can i do this?

btw, hello to my new community, greetings from croatia :)

So you want the old familiar gnome? Personaly I strongly dislike it, but you just right click the panel and select "New panel" and you've got it. You have to edit it's properties to get it useful, and probably edit the bottom panel as well
