There are other ways. I use the terminal program youtube-dl, which works by opening a terminal, and typing ' youtube-dl http://link_at_you_tube_you_want_to_download '

To download thru firefox, install the Video Downloadhelper extension. Then it's just a matter of clicking on the button for it when at a video you want. Dead easy.
