How can I add the cdrom to my repository list?

Post by selvam »

Hi and hello Mint users,

I use LinuxMint Isadora, default installation from cdrom.

I did something stupid and my wifi internet was gone, I wanted to reinstall a package from the cdrom, butt the package manager don't see the cdrom! Package manager expect /cdrom or /dev/cdrom butt when i do properties on my cdrom on the desktop is say "folder (inode/directory)"
So problem, I can't add the cdrom in the repository list. It should be nice to have a fall-back on such thing!
How can I add the cdrom to my repository list?

Sincerely,
Selvam

It must be a DVD. Open terminal, and ..

Code: Select all

sudo apt-cdrom add
