Just installed Mint-9.
I cannot restore a minimised window. The panel icon to the right of [Menu] does not work as it did in Mint-8. Clicking on it once gives a popup "Click here to hide all windows and show the desktop", clicking on it again displays "click here to display hidden windows" but doing so goes back to the hide screnario without restoring the windows.
Where have my minimised windows gone?

Give this a try:
Right click on your panel, click <Add to Panel>
scroll down to Window List and add this to panel.
This issue has shown up a number of times in the forum.
