lost "system tray" in linux mint 8 gnome help!

lost "system tray" in linux mint 8 gnome help!

Hi I am new to linux but love it, thing is I went to close one of the icons on the system tray area (you know where the wireless, blue tooth, battery life and whatever else is) and I accidentally closed it and it doesn't show up anymore I cant seem to get it back when I go to add to panel its not in the list! its a real piss off can anyone help me

The system tray is in Add to Panel listed as "Notification Area".
