I just installed Linux Mint this week on my desktop PC, so far so good.
My only minor complaint are the browsers.
I use Firefox, Opera and Chrome, scrolling is choppy on most website, no smooth scrolling, any fixes for this?
So far so good.

Re: So far so good.
Strictly guessing, but sounds like a video driver problem. Your HW config is needed to get more knowledgeable responses. Open terminal, run lspci, then copy/paste result into a reply here.

Re: So far so good.
Have you installed a linux driver for your card?
I forget how I updated the driver for my Raedon card, but have you tried the application launcher - system - hardware drivers?
alternatively go to http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx and download from there
another thought is in FF - edit - preferences - advanced - tick "use smooth scrolling"

Re: So far so good.
I'm still figuring out the nuts and bolts of Mint.
I need to play around some more.
I edited Firefox for smooth scrolling, no effect.
There is no support on the ATI site for any linux drivers that I can find.
Thanks for the help.

I found my card on the link provided.
Here are the options, not sure which one to download.
XFree86 4.3 Drivers Display Drivers for XFree86 4.3
Or

Re: So far so good.
Im stumped. the bottom 2 are rpm files which are not for mint, the top one is .run which I havent come across before.
looking in the Ubuntu forums, there are a few mentions of problems with this card but no solutions.
have you looked in hardware drivers in the program list?
I cant offer any more, sorry.
