Using Mint 9 on my desktop for one month now (no experience with Linux before), I installed Samba (and it works, thanks to the documentation on the net).
My problem is I can't access my 2 external ntfs hard drives connected to the Mint Desktop (no permisson).
They are mounted automatically on boot but they are not shown in FSTAB.
I can't change the file permissions, neither as root (with the chmod command) neither with Nautilus as administrator.
What do I have to do to acces these files on my window 7 laptop?
Thanks

Re: ntfs file permissions - SOLVED
Thanks.
I adapted FSTAB and all works fine now. I don't understand why the two external NTFS hard drives were automatically mounted upon boot without being mentionned in FSTAB.
