[SOLVEDIssue with NVIDIA X Server Settings control on Mint 9
Basically whenever I try moving that digital vibrance control 1 bit to the right the program will just crash/end, I've tried changing the area that says 0.00 as well that crashes it.
-I'm using the right driver.
-System is updated.
-Didn't have this problem on Mint 8
Thanks in advanced.

Same effect when opening the settings as root?

Thanks for the reply, really appreciated.proxima_centauri wrote:Same effect when opening the settings as root?
Yep, unfortunately the same issue when running it as root.
Code: Select all
admin1@admin1-desktop ~ $ sudo /usr/bin/nvidia-settings
The program 'nvidia-settings' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation)'.
(Details: serial 225 error_code 2 request_code 140 minor_code 19)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)

Any reason why you're using the 173.** drivers and not the current ones? Your card should support the latest drivers.
