Considering switching from Kubuntu

Postby cmeks2662 on Sat Sep 15, 2007 11:58 pm

First of all, how do I set up multiple desktops? I like to have six and have found it has increased my productivity and made my user experience better.

On the positive side Mint looks more polished than Kubuntu, Deban and CentoOS. I like Mint so far however the single workspace would be a killer for me if I can not get around it.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

In the Main Edition you add Workspace switcher to the panel.
Then right click and click preferences to get to how many to have.

In the KDE CE
Right Click on the panel and click and Add Applet.
Now add the Desktop and Preview Pager.
Now you should see the Desktops on the panel.
To change the Desktops know just move the mouse over the applet and use the scroll on you mouse to switch them.
Which version do you plan on using?

Once again the best support is community support. The one thing the proprietary OSes will never have. support like this is what will bring the rest of the world to Linux.
