no wired connection in asus eee pc 900
don't know much about command lines or text files. did a fresh install of mint 9 (gnome), coming from karmic ubuntu (where i had no problem at all). connected ethernet cable, computer indicates a connection is made. attempt to connect to internet results in perpetual loading. i don't have wifi in the house so i havn't tried that yet. did a google search on another computer running mint 9 through a wired connection. some suggest unplugging computer and removing batter. tried without success. i don't understand other posts.

I also have a eeepc, I am using Mint 9 gnome, have you check the bios to see if you have it enable, some reason Mint disable it
