Problem installing Lifeograph

Post by panchoop »

Hi ! im having problems installing the lifeograph in my computer.

y download a .deb file, and then i extract it, see the "README" and y just enter in terminal and tipe "make" resulting in a endeless list of errors.
in the README file says:
Lifeograph requires the following modules to be built:
* gtkmm,
* gconfmm,
* gtkspell, and
* gcrypt.

and searching in google didnt gave me any unsderstanding answer.

here i got the program http://translate.googleusercontent.com/ ... yiNAMArH1g

and, well if its useful ( reading the forum rules) im actually using linux mint 7, and edition? dont know really what does that mean, but i think the answer might be GNOME.

excuse me for my english, i actually speak spanish.

thanks ^^ !

A .deb file works like a Windows installer package. Either double-click it or right-click>open to run it.

2nd type: Error: Wrong architecture 'amd64'

and the tar.gz gives me the error i posted at the beggining... still dont know what to do ):

Ah no wonder :D can you upgrade?

Anyway, for the below
1rst type: Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libatk1.0-0 (>= 1.29.3)
search for libatk in synaptic, take note of the version
2nd type: Error: Wrong architecture 'amd64'
as for this guy, you need to download x86, NOT x86_64

As for the tar.gz, you'll need to install
* build-essential
* gtkmm-dev
* gconfmm-dev
* gtkspell-dev
* gcrypt-dev

Try the deb first, if cannot then do the tar.gz thing
