Sound question

Post by selittl »

My master sound level is mighty low, even when maxed out. Is there a way to increase the sound level? Running KDE Linux Mint 9.

Mixer is all the way up. Only get sound when set to PCM. especially low when in firefox on youtube or hulu (flash issues?).

YouTube and Hulu could have their own sound-settings for their videos - it might not be your 'fault'. Go back to the mixer and check the outputs. If you've set Pulse Audio to use a simultaneous output channel, you'll have two sliders to be concerned with; one for the simultaneous output and one for your actual card (Internal Audio?). Simultaneous out is directly governed by the other slider - make sure that one's not too low.
