thanks for your prompt reply.

i have plugged it in, and it shows red LED blinking.
but when i check on the network, it not detecting any of wifi near me. (it should shows my wifi).

so, i assume that the device needs other compatible driver. but after i searched and i found the driver i realized that i can't install it nor update my existing driver because i still do not know how...

and by the way. this device, i tried on windows based laptop and it works perfectly.

thanks,

There's an option of using Windows wireless driver

Click on mintmenu -> All Applications -> Administration -> Windows Wireless Drivers

thanks for your suggestion,

i already look at the http://community.linuxmint.com/hardware/view/628
TL-WN321G Brand: TP-Link (WIFI card/adapter/dongle) is working with minor problem but using Helena.

i'm using Linux mint 9 Gnome, i suppose to get the same result right?
is there any error on my Linux installation?

and i also found the windows wireless driver, but the same thing still happened my WiFi dongle do not detect any wifi network around it.

the one think i curious about, is there any hardware manager in the linux that i can see all the device in my laptop? so i can look at it's properties.

thanks to everyone for your kind help.

my device is already running.

the first step (with confidence that my device can work on Linux), i remove all window driver and my setting (like before i start trying to install the device).
then, i plug the device and it still couldn't connect.
but after i install the windows wireless network driver for win XP then it start to connect.

i don't know why my previous action fail, but now it OK.

Case closed.
thanks,
