you can run certain exe programs using a program called WINE. Its available in the software manager.
heres the website for it, for more info - http://www.winehq.org/

Theres a program i use for MKV files called Mkvtoolnix, if may be available in the Linux Mint software manager.
If not open the Synaptic Package Manager, search and install mkvtoolnix and mkvtoolnix-gui.

I use this program for removing subtitles from mkv files, heres a screenshot of a splitting option for it, never used it before

WINE is a emulator...
You CAN'T run .exe-files in Linux...

Wine is a compatibility layer, not an emulator.

It's like this:

My car got 70 PS - can I drive 400 km/h with it?

You tell him:

Yes you can - you just have to upgrade your machine ... -.-

Load the main edition and tell me how you run a .exe in Linuxmint (without changing a thing).

bad example
run. exe has nothing to do with the power of a pc
I can run one. exe quietly in my pentium 2 with 64 mb of ram and puppy linux.
I see you are a typical fan of windows with limited knowledge of systems.
but if you set aside your bigotry, and you spend time with linux, you'll know what the term "operating system"
bye !!!

That's just ... just ... lol

Spent time with linux and you'll see that you can't run a .exe-file without any helpers. My example wasn't referred to the power of a PC.

How old are you?
Max. 20 years... I think...

Omg... what do someone like you do in a linux-com.? I can't believe what I'm reading.... :D

Edit:

And I'm not a fan of Windows! That's the reason why I don't have to run "wine" like you.

It's fine to disagree but it's best if this doesn't descend into an exchange of insults.
Thanks

sorry, oscar799, this is my last reply in this topic:
Angtagapagligt, I'm glad to see that and correct your error:

is not the same as saying:
you can't run a .exe-file without any helpers
and say:
you can't run a .exe in Linux?!
I see by your last comment that you have already accepted that yesss, you can run. exe (with helpers), but ultimately you can do it.
