Linux Mint 9 was never stable for me...every time I would log in, I would have to restart gnome to get it to work, and there were other stability and compatibility issues....I suppose this is mostly the fault of Ubuntu 10.04.
However, Ubuntu 10.10 has fixed this. I was going to ask...oh wait...*equips flame shield*...I was going to ask if its possible to install Mint Menu on Ubuntu 10.10, and if so, how do I do this? I assure you I'll be switching to Mint 10 fully, but as for now, I like my mint menu!!! lol
edit: not sure if this is the right place for this
