Did you figure out a solution?

I have two usb flashdrives. One is a 256 mb Memorex Traveldrive and the other is a 4 gb Kingston DataTraveler. My system does not even see the Memorex. It sees the Kingston and mounts it but shows no data.

There is nothing in the logs that indicate my system even sees the Memorex when I insert it.

I'm sure there is something that needs to be changed in fstab or mtab, but I have not the foggiest of what to change and several hours of googling has yielded nada.

Hi,

Not exactly a solution, but can you try:

1. boot from the liveCD and try to plugin the usb drive(s)
OR
2. Create a new user, and try plug in
