how to get amarok back into taskbar?

hi,
i somehow managed to delete the amarok icon at taskbar. now everytime i play a file, it plays, but the player dont open, so i have to start amarok from startmenu. even after that i dont have no icon in the taskbar.

please help me fix this. i guess i could just reinstall, but id like to know how to properly do this.

can't you just drag thye icon back into it?

all you have to do is right click on the 'start' menu button and select 'edit menus'

then, find where you want amarok, and click 'add application' then just fill in all the blanks, where 'command' is 'amarok'

This should work.

thanks, but thats not the problem. amarok doesnt show as a task on the right side while running and doesnt open in a window until i manually start it...

tried complete uninstall and installed again, still the same

Hi, dunno if this is the solution, but have you tried the "configure amarok" on settings menu? On settings window, check the "Show tray icon" in "General" section. Then save the changes or apply and it shall appear on tray (or task bar I used to say). Hope this helps.

not sure if this is your problem or the fix to it - - - open the menu and under sound and video drag the icon to the panel/taskbar that you want and where you want and that is it. you can right click on the icon and move and then right click again and lock it too.

Right click taskbar ..Add to panel.. click Application launcher .. find Amarok .. Add .. Ok that's it!
