How to automatic updates?

Post by kvv »

Maybe a stupid question, but if I download and install a program using Package Manager, does it get automatically updated?

For instance, when I installed chromium, I added the ppa to the sources.list so that it updates regularly. Do I have to do this for every piece of software that I install?

Updates should Automatically install on anything you install. once you install a package I.E Chromium then when there is updates for that Package it will let you know where they are available and you will see a little shield at the Bottom of your screen with an i. when you see that click on it and it will show you all stable updates that mint has for your apps.

Hope this has helped
