Internet BROWSER is Slowing to a halt

Hi all. I have moved from Ubuntu, and i am impressed with Linux Mint. But, there is this problem that i have been having (i had it with Ubuntu too) where my internet browser slows to a halt. Sometimes it gets a good burst of speed, and then just Hangs. But the speed in my Wi-Fi is usually 24Mb/s. It was running fast yesterday, but not anymore. It is odd because Dropbox, and update manager all download fast. I have a Toshiba Satellite A55, and a Windows 7 PC (which is going as fast as normal), and a Linksys WRT120N Wireless Router. I am Running The Standard Mozilla Firefox Version, 3.6.13 Thanks For Any Help, and i look forward to more great days Using Linux Mint!

How about the disk cache for a browser?
