[SOLVED]How to put a terminal link on the desktop

Post by wooly »

Hi, fairly new to Linuxmint 10, and I have just re-installed it. On my previous install I found a way to put a terminal icon on the dektop, now I can't remember how I did it. I realise I can just right click and access the terminal that way, but I'd love to know what I did to get the link on the dektop.

Also is it possible to make a link to an administrator terminal on the desktop?

That was the obvioud solution that I tried, BUT after clicking on Menu, I find Terminal under the System heading and right click, nada, nothing......... OK, just solved it, I have to click on ALL, then go to the far right column and find Terminal then I can put it onto the desktop
