[Solved] A question about Nautilus

Post by leopoldbirkholm »

:) Hello everyone,

I have a question about the file handler in Gnome which is called Nautilus.

I use now Linux Mint 10 Julia with Gnome. What I know, is that the handler for windows and such is called Nautilus. On the earlier Ubuntu I could choose between haveing a address bar like "/home/leopold/Hämtningar/Jeunes_Filles_Au_Pair" or this version as is shown down in the bottom of this post.

In the Linux Mint 10 I cannot. Does anyone know if it is possible to make it possible to have an address bar as text instead of this blocks?

Why I wish to have an address bar is because I am more comfortable with an address bar. Simple as that.

Kind regards
Leopold B.

Run the following command from the terminal:

Code: Select all

gconf-editor
Go to /apps/nautilus/preferences/always_use_location
And place a check in the box
