applications dissapear when minimized

Post by Houseman »

Hi. I am very new to Linux,I have mint 10 I believe Isadora? When I minimize anything, like Firefox,Thunderbird or anything else it seems to disappear.
I can see an outline of the "window" flash down and to the right and then I can no longer see it. When I go to system monitor it shows everything to either be sleeping or stopped. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
Trev

Right-click on any open space on the taskbar/panel ... select 'Add to panel'

From the Add to Panel menu, select, 'Window List' or Window Selector'

I actually found the problem. It seems the "separators" that I can barely see, had gotten moved so close together that anything in them would not show. BUT, I did realize that while trying your suggestion, so thanks are in order at any rate. Thank You. :)
