Please don't flame me.

Lets say that I have a Directory named 'My Music'.

From a console, how would I access that Directory?

Well, where is that folder. Is it in your home folder? If it is:

Open a terminal and type "cd /home/yourusernamehere/My Music

You have sucessfully navigated to the directory.

Also you can use the file manager to get to it.
Just navigate to the folder in the File manager.
Then if you have nautilus or thunar right click and click open terminal here.
If you use dolphin file manager, it is some where in the menus.

george@belkin54g:~$ ls
1 Desktop Downloads Music Network Projects Templates
botlib.log Documents Incomplete My Question Pictures Shared Videos
george@belkin54g:~$ cd My Question
bash: cd: My: No such file or directory
george@belkin54g:~$

I know that I can navigate into the directory through Nautilus, but sometimes I may want to catenate a series of " .avi " files in the "My Question" directory through a console

How do I navigate into the 'My Question' directory through a console?

My\ Question, you have to use the escape character for special things like space. You can also use tab for auto-complete.

Thank You.

The \ backslash after the first word, than space, then the second word. IE

george@belkin54g:~$ cd My\ Question
george@belkin54g:~/My Question$

Now that I know this, I can remove my "My Question" directory.
