Tried to do a search on this subject, but my words are too common.
Anyway, just did an install with Mint 10 alongside XP and was successful. When I rebooted, it went straight to XP. Have I missed a step? I was under the impression that I should see a boot menu.
Thanks.

Hi!
Your "fdisk" posting seems to be incomplete, and I can't see where Windows is installed.
Your link is not helpful for an approach for a solution.
Please take the time to read the first parts of my help.

Re: No boot menu
** Solved.
Found some instructions and did the following:
1. Mounted the linux partition:
sudo mount /dev/sda5 /mnt
2. reinstalled the grub loader:
sudo grub-install --root-directory=/mnt /dev/sda
I got an error message like I did before, but then I rebooted and got the loader like I should.
Thanks.
