Planning to install Daryna

Postby cgizmo on Sun Nov 04, 2007 12:34 pm

Hello everybody!

I am new to this forum and I am planning to install Linux Mint Daryna (not Celena), but first I have a few questions :

* If I install the beta, will I be able to upgrade to the final version easily?
* Do you know when the final version of Daryna will come out?
* Do you know if I will be able to have WPA protected WiFi with a Msi pc54g2?

Bye!

PS : I am actually running OpenSuse 10.3 on an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ with 3gigs of ram, 500gigs of hard drive and I am planning to change my CPU to an Intel Core 2 Duo.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

The upgrade should be fairly painless, there are walkthroughs around.
The final version will be out when they iron out all the kinks. I would guess Jan? Just a hunch though, the actual people doing it will be able to tell you more (look in release notes...might be there)
I wouldn't know about the wireless, but If you can do it in suse, then you probably will be able to do it in mint! If you stick on mint, welcome!

I'm probably gonna stick on mint. It looks like a nice distribution, with a nice community :D !

After second thoughts, I'm gonna wait t'ill the final KDE version comes out!
I think that KDe is just much cleaner than gnome.
