Browser cache seems to have moved in Mint10 where is it now?

Post by MintNewBee »

Hi all,
In Mint 8 & Mint 9 I could easily grab a fully downloaded youtube video just by opening up /tmp and literally dragging it out of there onto the desktop.

This is a very brief video clip of exactly what I mean http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7J-ifbhiC4Q

In Mint 10 however, this no longer seems to apply, so my question is where has the place where the flash video is initially cached gone to??

I know I can very easily get a Firefox extension like downloader helper or several other similar ones but for some reason I really like to do it this way and like to keep Firefox as minimalist as possible re add ons.

If anyone knows about this it would be great, thanks.

It is cached in ~/.mozilla/firefox/"yourprofile#".default/cache

Where yourprofile#.default looks something like "5c5ltdx3.default"

And it is nothing to do with Mint, it is mozilla that have changed this I think.
