remote desktop - how?

Post by fatboyandy »

hey everyone,

new to linux, been using mint over many other distro's and wana master it. So i want to connect to my computer upstairs thats running ubuntu. i've tried install remmina for remote access but i simply cannot get it working. I checked the address of the computer (192.168.0.5) at the time..

what am i doing wrong, i can connect to a windows machine through RDP that is located at my work place but i cannot connect to my own linux network!!!

help on where to start. either gui or terminal instructions would be cool. i'm a fast learner on command line (i'm an oldie so remember the dos days).

cheers
