quickstart

:D Hello there!
I'm using mint for a couple of days now, and happy with it, but there are always (little) things one wants to change.
So. for example, I want an icon in the quickstart panel for Thunderbird, and I can't find the way to do it. I also want to remove some items from the startmenu, to make it more handsome, with the same problem: how?
Anyone can tell me? :?:

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it

doesn't work. I can't add anything but the pre-installed items.
I must say, I forgot to tell in my earlier post, that I'm using the Xcfe desktop.
Maybe I get more reactions!
Greetings Paulus
