Perhaps it is just a version conflict, it is expecting a version that is either newer or older than the one you have. Look in the dependencies for the game to see which version it requires then search for that version on packages.ubuntu.com.

You have sqlite3 but you need the development libraries.

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install libsqlite3-dev

Install zlib!!
What else would you do?
(probably the -dev file again).

From my earlier post:
Follow the link, hit <ctrl> + F and type zlib...

You are compiling from source which is a bit challenging for the average user. As an alternative you can add the removed repo and install
xmoto from there.

It gives
configure: error: libxdg-basedir required or --with-internal-xdg=1
How to resolve this?

dagon already told you the solution.

Just go here:

http://pkgs.org/ubuntu-10.10/ubuntu-uni ... 6.deb.html

and click on the link 'select mirror' download the deb package and install it. But pay particular attention to all the dependencies listed on that site - you need all of them and if you don't have all of them it even tells you where to find them. The deb package may offer to download them for you when you click it but if it doesn't (because it can't find a source for them) then you will have to provide them yourself from the information listed on the site.
