Hi, I was installed samba sharing, Im see folders in My Network Places, but if I want to join, I must enter a password,but user settings password is not working if samba restart always generates the sequence of errors in the settings. For this reason i is not possible to set the password ? How to fix it please ? Thanks very much, greetings from czech

I am willing to bet you installed Samba4. If so go back into Synaptic and remove it.
Please tell us what version of Mint you are using. Gnome, KDE, ....
