Terminal error

Hi all!
When i open my terminal, there comes a message saying
"There was an error creating the child process for this terminal"
and the terminal don't work. Can anyone help me?

Which version of Mint do you have? I vaguely recollect that error....
On a side note
Terminal error sounds really ominous :)

I remember a similar error pointed out by exploder. The solution was to remove compizconfig-settings-manager

Thanks Clem, but i really dont understand that. I am not so good at this Linux, so if you could please explain it.
