just add a new connection.

It will add a new name, matters not.

It will connect right away.

Which filmware u (not)deleted? Hollywood or Bollywood? :lol:

Try going into System -> Preferences -> Network Connections etc. and add a new one.

Or do it in CLI with nano where set the interfaces in
/etc/network/interfaces
Read man interfaces =>
man interfaces (in terminal) or
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/dhcp3-server

Finally you need to type ifconfig eth0 up
/etc/init.d/networking start

Just play with that.

See:
ifconfig - show network information
iwconfig - show wireless information
