Hey mint devs (minties?), I have some questions regarding setting up a mint desktop in a domain environment. Is there a way to control profile directory redirection? For someone looking to advise a manager on how to setup a new pc in a business environment for entry level users, how do I go about configuring this? Does mint (or linux in general) respect group policies? How does one manage a mint pc from a windows domain management perspective?

Mint is not aimed at the corporate market. Version 5 will however probably have an enterprise edition
There are methods to achieve (at least part of) what you are asking forhttp://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2 ... tools.mspx
but as you see not by default
Some aspects may be there by default - I don't know this field well enough to give specific advice.
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
