IP / Port Blocking

Hello,
I am a Linux Mint user and I am looking for a tool that block IP and Port Ranges that belong to agencies/companies (e.g. Anti-Piracy companies etc.) that scan my Computer. I have nothing to hide but I do not like the thought that anonymous external parties analyse data I consider private.

Guarddog works well enough to pass the Shields Up! Test, but you may also want to use ipblock. Here is the link to the how-to:
