Mintmenu not themed

Postby Bandicoot on Sat Dec 22, 2007 4:29 pm

Is it possible to "theme" mintmenu ?? When I apply a different theme to gnome everything uses the setting of that theme except mintmenu. I really do not like the dull gray colour of mintmenu. I tried rightclicking mintmenu and change values in the prefenres of mintmenu but nothing seems to effect the colors of mintmenu.

Yeah, those values (I forget exactly what ones) will change it, but it has to be re-added to the panel every time for a quick look if you don't want to restart gnome that is. Just add another instance and then you'll see your changes.

As I mentioned I can not see any changes. Can someone maybe explain what I have to change and how ?? Suppose I want my mintmenu to be black with white letters, how would I do that ? The custom color entry does not do any thing , not even after a restart of gnome, what is it that I am doing wrong .. I can not find instructions anywhere what all the options do in the preferences context nor what I have to add to make changes.

How I change the colour of Mintmenu is:-

1. Right click the mint panel icon (far left)
2. Click Preferences
3. Right click custom_color in the configuration editor.
4. Click Edit Key.
5. Change the value as required #------. Hit OK and close Editor.
6. Right click the mint icon again and the click Reload Plugins.
7. That should be It.

Hope this helps.
