drivers for smart media card

Postby elletmailman on Sat Dec 29, 2007 7:50 pm

We have a Toshiba laptop with a slot for our smart media card- however we do not have Linux Mint drivers - so we can't read our camera card and cannot get pictures off the card. Does anyone know how to get the drivers, what they are called, or where to get them??? For that matter- how would you download them - as we are very new to Linux? Thanks

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Try this (in a console)
Code: Select all
sudo modprobe tifm_7xx1
sudo modprobe tifm_core
sudo modprobe tifm_sd

And then insert the card... wait a sec and a dialog should pop up asking what to do with the card. If it works for you, add tifm_7xx1, tifm_core and tifm_sd to the file /etc/modules so they load at startup
