no grub menu after install

Postby brisssa on Wed Jan 02, 2008 3:56 pm

Hello, I have just installed Linux Mint on a second hard drive along side win xp. When i rebooted after install there was no grub menu and I booted directly into xp. Can I install grub from the live cd?
Thanks,
Bris

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I'm assuming you have Mint on the one HDD and Windoze on the other.
On my computer I can press F9 to select boot device. If you don't have this
option you'll have to go into your BIOS and change the boot order of your hard
drives. You can do this each time for whether you want Windoze or Mint.
Personally I like this as it doesn't effect either of the other systems boot loader.
