Alright, the more I learn the less that I actually know it does seem.
I want AWN to run when I log-in. Currently I have to go to system/Accessories/Avant Window Manager to get it to pop up to my desktop. I know a true Newbie question but at least I am in the right forum I think.

im also a noob but i think this is your solution. go to your applications menu, preferences, sessions and click add then select your program. hope it works.

Additionally, if you did not know what to put for the command line, use "avant-window-navigator"

or get mint menu update and select with right button click
