How install window theme?

How install window theme?

i searched from here to ubuntu, i couldn't find any answer. would you please tell me how to? i will be installing offline...

i want to make clearer. i downloaded a GTK 2.x file from gnome-look.org and the thing is i don't know how to install it...any help?

Open Preferences - Appearance, and click on Install, then use browse for the tar.gz file. It could appear as a dialog saying "xxssxx theme successfully installed" or something like that. Also, you should choose to Apply the theme at once, and if it appear as a custom theme you should save it..
