Can anyone advise me of a good Mint friendly wireless internet card. I would like A "Super G Band" 108 mbs per sec
or a "N band" card. I have looked at the ones listed as "Mint friendly", but I don't which are the quicker Super G or N band ones. 54mb per sec is a little slow these days abd some are getting hard to get. (I live in Australia). Thanks everyone. P.S. I have a laptop and desktop, so info on PCMCIA (cardbus) and PCI cards would be handy.

Most, if not all, the cards in the wiki are "g version" If they have a g in the name they are g - I hope

I use a USB dongle in a laptop running Xubuntu 7.10 so it should also work with Mint 4.0.
It works out of the box, no tweaks required. Just plug it in, no NDISwrapper or terminal action. It uses a Zydas 1211b chipset and any other device with this chipset should work. The one I have is made my ZyXEL and speed and reception around the house seem pretty good. It's a 54 MB/s G device, model ZyXEL G202.
