This is the 2nd time I plug a usb stick into a system running mint and I can't figure out how to safely remove it.
When I stick it in it mounts and I see the contents, however when I right click on it there is no option to remove it.
I chose unmount which it does but the light on the stick doesn't go out.
I then clicked the computer icon and I see it there as flash drive but again no eject or remove ...

an unmounted drive shouldn't be communicating with the system other than to let it know it's there, somebody might correct me if I'm wrong, but thats my thoughts on it. you should be fine removing it once its unmounted
