File Associations

How do I change file associations in Daryna? I want music files to open with Amarok instead of Totem.

1. Right-click on a file of the type you wish to change the default application for
2. Select "Properties"
3. Select the "Open With" tab
4. Select the application you want associated with that file-type
5. Click OK

I want to make a permanent change and not have to do that each time.

this should make it a permanent change :D

Maybe I imagined this, but I think there is also a central place in the OS settings somewhere where you can see every single file association for every type of file and change them all from once place.

I know there is in kde, not sure in gnome..... I've always done it the way you described here!
